5 reasons why League of Legends is still the best MOBA for me

A lot of video games has been released and a lot of them are amazing. The graphics, the gameplay, the storyline and the experience are incredible. So much work has been put up to create a great game where people enjoy playing them. Whether it be on Windows, Mac, PS4, XBONE, or Nintendo, the companies deliver an incredible experience to the gamers.

But have you ever played at game that you never get tired of? Even you have these beautiful games in front of you, you still go back and play the game that you love. Yes, my friend, you are not alone. I still play League of Legends even though I've got a lot of new games. And here are my reasons why I bounce back to League of Legends.

1. Gameplay

The gameplay of League of Legends is constantly changing and that's a good thing. This shows that they listen to the community and add a lot of new features that make the players more interested in playing the game.

A lot of people who tried this game, especially from a DOTA 2 player's point of view will probably say that this game is trash. But I don't blame them. It's really difficult to adjust in a new game especially in MOBA and won't accept that this game is also great. The gameplay is totally different and I am really wondering why they compare LOL and DOTA 2 where in it's not comparable with each other. Each have a different gameplay experience. They say the graphics are BAD and looks like Cartoons but when you look at those who say these, the also love Mobile Legends which is, I should say, a copy of LOL, but on mobile.

All in all, the gameplay requires skills and strategy with a lot of teamwork. This game is fun. Nuff said.

2. Longevity

Nope! The game does not take long in a match. The game will finish around 20-45 minutes and this is what I love about it. I am a busy father and I almost have no time to play games in a day. But I could spare 30-40 minutes in playing League of Legends especially when my child is asleep. Unlike in DOTA 2, the game would last for around 1 hour or even more than an hour. And I don't want to waste precious time only to play for an hour for only one match. I mean if I'd play DOTA 2, I should be paid for it.

3. System Requirements

Most games today require a lot of power and graphics to fully have the best gameplay experience. but in League of Legends, they don't require much graphics and will still run great. Heck, I even play LOL sometimes in Mac OS and still runs perfectly(FPS drops sometimes though). You don't really need to spend a lot of cash in buying a gaming laptop or a Gaming Rig in playing LOL especially when you are on a budget.

4. Champions

The champs and there kit are very creative and cool. It really makes the game enjoyable and interactive. They even look good. I mean the art style is amazing. You can't even see one champ that looks like a big ball of light. I mean who's gonna want to play a character which looks like a ball of light and can't even kick ass in-game?

5. Free to play

Yes it's free to play but if you want to buy the skins, you need to pay with real money. Most players don't understand why all the champs are not free? and need to buy it either though in game money or through real money. The reason is that players who dive in to the game and use advanced champions will be having a difficult time playing. Thus, making their experience in the game terrible and will lead to uninstallation of the game. So, LOL made the basic champs accessible and will help you improve your gameplay skills step by step making it more fun and accessible. As you progress in the game, you get rewarded. Either with in game currency to buy champs or free skins through loot boxes.

There are a lot of possibilities and this game and I guarantee you'll make new friends. The community is not that toxic compared to DOTA 2, in my experience, that is. So, why am I still writing this blog? I'm supposed to play now XD

See you at the Rift noobs!

How I Met My Razer

Gaming for Gamers

I know a lot of us are fond of playing video games but taking it to the next level is far more different than just playing a side scrolling 1 player game or a puzzle game for that matter. Most of the video games now are connected to the internet where MMORPG and MOBA are the most popular games today.

MOBA or Multiplayer Online Battle Arena are the hottest games today because of the competition and the excitement as any other physical sports which is why it is now called an E-Sport. One game was even recognized as an Official Sport in the US and pro players would have a working visa as athletes. With alot of competitions and players, how are you going to step up?

How I met My Razer

Gaming with this is going to be Legen..wait for it...dary!
Choosing a right equipment or peripheral might not be a big factor for you but for pro and hard core gamers, it is very important to have a good and reliable peripherals for your game. At first, I was contented on having a simple mouse for playing League of Legends and DOTA 2 but sometimes the mouse fails to function and my game would be ruined resulting to a loss. That was the first time I bought a real gaming mouse. The gaming mice was called Razer Naga. It was the coolest mouse I ever saw and it has 12 buttons that sits perfectly on your thumb. It was very easy for me to use items in my inventory in the game rather than pushing the numbers in my keyboard. I sure knew that I was becoming faster and more responsive to the game itself. That is what you call "Imba".

Cleaning time!
I was really satisfied with the performance of the Razer Naga and was interested on what other products they have then I saw a keyboard like no other, the Nostromo (N52te). I game on my laptop which is why this is very essential for me. I don't want my keyboard in my laptop to get easily destroyed because of pressing those QWER skills in game which is why the Nostromo (N52te) is a separate keyboard and is ergonomically designed in your hand. To add it up, having the Razer Kraken Pro as my headset lets me enjoy hours and hours of gaming with clear crisp sound, and clear voice with the microphone without noticing its in your head.

Well kids, that's How I met your Razer XD

Game Evo Happening in Dubai!

Game Evolution Happening in Dubai this November!

The biggest gaming exhibition will be held in Dubai and I am getting excited!
The Game Evolution will go live this November 15th and 16th at the Dubai World Trade Centre and it will have a lot of events! All thing Gaming, Exhibition and Education! The Game Evolution is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and is also organized by "INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Org Est".

This really sounds amazing! I've always wanted to go to a Gaming Exhibition and even better, GE will be setting the stage for the Grandest LAN and Console Gaming tournaments with a cash Prize of USD 150,000!! There will also be a massive Consumer Exhibitions, Career Fairs and Educational Workshops and this will happen in a two day celebration of Games and Gaming Culture!

What I really look forward to hear is the E-Sports tournament which will include competitive PC games like DOTA 2, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike. There will be also Console Game tournaments which includes FIFA 2013 and Super Street Fighter IV. I'm getting even more excited when they announced that League of Legends will have the highest prize than other games. Hope I could find a teammate. But heck, I would be there to watch and enjoy the show even I am not participating in the tournament.

This is a call to arms. Anyone out there who would want to join me in a Tournament?

DOTA 2 to be fully released this summer!

At last! DOTA 2 will be officially released!

DOTA 2 feels like its already been fully released even in its closed beta phase. I bet those who are playing DOTA 2 right now on steam has dozens of beta keys stuck in their steam inventory. This game was also known to be one of the most played game on Steam right now even if it's still in its beta phase.

Yesterday, PC Gamer announced that DOTA 2 will be fully released later this summer and is going to be free-to-play. Well, maybe this full release will not be such a big deal but might become a popular MOBA this year. The game will be officially released prior to "The International" DOTA 2 tournament which will be the biggest DOTA 2 tournament and will be held this August.

Will DOTA 2 step-up to its MOBA competitors like League of Legends or Heroes of Newerth? Let us know with your comments below.

Which MoBA game you prefer?

Want to play MoBA games?

Action real-time strategy or called MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) nowadays is considered to be the most addicting game not only in Asia but in different parts of the globe. But what started it all? Some gamers even me consider DoTA (Defence of the Ancients) to have started this all, but we were wrong. ARTS or MoBA first began in a Starcraft custom map named Aeon of Strife (AoS) which is pretty much the same as today but with a lot of modifications to make the game more interesting and fun.

ARTS or MoBA is a considered to be the sub-category of an RTS game but you only control a single character and no unit or building construction. This game solely emphasizes on teamwork and skill on handling your character's skill well. The game is pretty much basic stuff where you are going to destroy the the enemies base and going through periodically spawned minions, creeps or what ever you call them and bringing down towers before going through the enemies main base.

I started out to play DoTA (Defence of the Ancients) during my college days and become addicted to it. Learning this game is easy for me as I was familiar in playing RTS games before but controlling one character now is a lot different. DoTA has been popular and has been appearing as part of e-sports until now. With this popularity, other MOBA games arise as they have another point of view in how MoBA game should be.

When Heroes of Newerth was released, I can't believe how beautiful the game is. This is just the same as DoTA but with great graphics, fast paced gameplay and new unfamiliar characters with new skills to play. This further level up the competition. Leaving DoTA behind, me and my friends played HON for a long period of time until it became pay-to-play and only available in US servers. We were so depressed that we tolerated to DoTA again as we were not familiar with the controls and pretty much wanted HON back. So I researched on another MoBA game that would be free and fun to play, then I discovered League of Legends. At first, I was a bit skeptical myself. I thought the cartoon graphics was not good and the cartoon characters were not that awesome as HON but again, I was wrong until I played it.

This game was not a walk in the park. This game changed the way I think in a MoBA game. League of Legends emphasized teamwork and strategy literally unlike when I played DoTA, I was on killing spree and I can take on all of the team's heroes with overpowered items.

I have never played DoTA 2 yet but seen its gameplay and honestly, I preferred HON for the graphics. Maybe if DoTA 2 have come much earlier that HON, I sure play DoTA 2 right now.

There are other MoBA games out there like Demigod, Super Monday Night Combat(a third person shooter twist), Rise of Immortals, Realm of the Titans and the upcoming Starcraft DoTA.

I personally suggest that you try other games before judging the best MoBA game for you. Or you can comment below what MoBA game you're playing and why.
