I know you are getting excited and can here the phrase, "the zombies are coming.." along with a catchy tune which gets stuck in your head while playing it. But for those who are in Australia and in New Zealand, the wait is over and it's about time!
Plants vs Zombies 2: It's About time has been released and launched last July 9, 2013 in Australia and New Zealand and it's free! But why the delay in other countries? PopCap's Senior Producer, Allen Murray revealed in an interview with Polygon that the company is making sure of the game's internal systems won't break under pressure when the game will launch.
In the interview, Murray said, "With Plants vs. Zombies 2 were taking advantage of a lot of newer technologies". "If you're connected to the internet, you can save your progress and share accounts across multiple devices - and we need to make sure those systems, along with our ability to stream that content to players, works."
Well, you definitely can't blame them as they are really making sure that the players worldwide would not be disappointed with some bugs and glitches while playing Plants vs. Zombies 2. In addition, PVZ2, as most of the games now requires an internet connection to play it which is why the company is worried with the large influx of players which can affect the back end stability of the game. Requires internet connection you say? Well, technically, you won't need an internet connection just to play but instead, some extra online features will be available once connected to the net.
You won't be able to fight the Zombies for sometime, but hey, I'm sure PopCap's doing their best to make the game enjoyable and fun without any problems that may encounter in the future.
Here are some of the screen shots while playing the game. Enjoy!
Good thing I still got time to write this blog. I was actually playing it while writing. Can't...stop...playing...must...play...Ughhhh....brains!!!

"If we had more players than we could account for, some of the systems might fall over," he added."We want to be double confident, so we're testing it in a smaller region. This allows us to have more controlled testing player base and determine how to keep the game healthy, then map that to the expected growth when we launch worldwide."
